Instructions to Import Favorites into your Web Browser:
Internet Explorer
- Save the attached html file called StateInformationLinks92012.html to your computer in a place you can find it.
- Open the web browser
- Click the “Star” icon (upper right corner).
- Click the “down arrow” next to the phrase “Add to Favorites”
- Click “Organize Favorites”
- Click “New Folder” and name the folder for these links and click “Close”
- Click the Star icon again and the down arrow next to Add to Favorites
- Click Import and export
- Click the ‘radio button” next to “Import from a file” and then click Next
- Select “Favorites” (do not select Feeds or Cookies” and then click Next Browse to find the saved html file StateInformationLinks92012.html
- Highlight the file StateInformationLinks92012.html and click the Open button
- Click the Next button
- Choose where you want this Folder of Favorites to be and click Import
- Click Favorites
Chrome Browser:
- Save the attached html file called StateInformationLinks92012.html to your computer in a place you can find it.
- Open the Chrome web browser
- Click the “wrench” icon (upper right corner).
- Select Bookmarks.
- Select Bookmark manager
- Click the word Organize in the Bookmark Manager
- Click Add Folder and name the folder where you want these links to be (click enter when done typing folder name)
- Click the word Organize again and select Import Bookmarks
- Browse to find the saved html file StateInformationLinks92012.html
- Highlight the file SecStLinks.html and click the Open button
Firefox:
- Save the attached html file called StateInformationLinks92012.html to your computer in a place you can find it.
- Open your Firefox web browser.
- Click on the Bookmarks option at the top of the window
- Select “Show All Bookmarks”.
- At the top of the Bookmarks window, click on “Import and Backup”
- Select “Import Bookmarks from HTML.”
- Open the file that you downloaded in step one
Safari:
- Save the attached html file called StateInformationLinks92012.html to your computer in a place you can find it.
- Open your Safari web browser.
- Click on the Gear icon and select “Show Menu Bar”
- Open the File menu at the top of the screen
- Select “Import Bookmarks.”
- Browse to find the saved html file StateInformationLinks92012.html
- Highlight the file StateInformationLinks92012.html and click the Open button
