Our Mission
The Kaplan Group has been around for twenty-five years with a clear mission: our belief is that every client should receive payment for every valid invoice. We keep working until you get paid or we determine your customer is out of business.
Through our many years of collecting, we have assembled a talented group of professionals and developed many successful collection techniques to achieve this mission. Unlike many other collection agencies, we do not employ call centers located overseas, auto-dialers, script reading collectors or letter series. Rather, our collectors spend the time to study and understand the customer who owes you the money as well as the circumstances of the unpaid invoices and we develop a collection strategy that will result in the highest likelihood of payment. Because of our 85% success rate on viable large claims, we are able to offer our clients very competitive contingency rates.
Our professional debt collectors are highly qualified and educated. Many hold college or post-graduate degrees. We have also worked as executives, consultants and managers in a variety of industries and companies of all sizes. We use our skillsets to determine the best way to work each claim and then we get you paid!
If our initial collection effort isn’t successful, our in house attorney works the claim a second time for the same competitive rate. You get two collection efforts for the price of one!
We rarely need to pursue litigation, solving 97% of our successful cases without going to court, but we have a network of attorneys we work with all over the USA who can handle your case on a contingency basis if need be. We don’t want to go to court, but if that the only way to get your money, with your written authorization, we will assist you every step of the way.
You can trust The Kaplan Group to help you with all your commercial collection needs. Testimonials:
I was referred to the Kaplan Group through a small business owners’ network I belong to on the East Coast and they were able to successfully collect all money owed to me from a large retail customer within 3 weeks. The debt was nearly 180 days past due and I’m certain I would not have been able to collect it through my own continued efforts. They were courteous, professional, provided timely updates and they were always available by phone. I highly recommend them.

Cleveland, OHCollection Agency Tips for Cleveland Businesses
Don’t hesitate to put a hold on future orders if an account becomes delinquent. Oftentimes, a business will continue to send products to a customer who has, in the past, maintained a good payment record, even if their account becomes overdue in an attempt to maintain the business relationship. However, doing so puts your business at a greater risk of losses if the customer doesn’t rectify their account. Furthermore, putting a hold on future orders applies extra pressure to the customer to pay their bills, especially if they are reliant on your company’s product for their business operations. Once the situation has been cleared up, you can remove the hold on their account and the business relationship can continue as normal, but if the unpaid bills are never taken care of your company will obviously be better off if more products aren’t sent to them.
